Corey weintraub is a director of photography based out of the desert Southwest. His relationship with the region has deeply influenced the style and outlook of his work. From the time he was a young painter he was inspired by the art work of Fredrick Remington and CM Russell . As a cinematographer, he fell in love with the noir tones of post war America. In his work, he has always sought to capture the grandness of the west blended with the bleak darkness of a noir city world.
Corey has nearly 20 years and 100 films under his belt. He rose up through the ranks as a camera assistant in major motion pictures and is a member of IATSE local 600.
Today, as a director of photography, he always looks for new and challenging projects to which he can bring his long hewn aesthetic. Recent projects of interest include the noir young adult show, Tagged, the feature film Will Gardner , starring Max Martini, Omari Hardwick, Gary Sinise and Lily Rabe and the feature film Chance, starring Matthew Modine.
